What is EXIT Newcastle?
EXIT is a live escape game company located in Newcastle. You are locked in with friends, family, or colleagues, and you have to solve a series of puzzles and mysteries to EXIT. You will need to search high and low for clues, and work together if you want to get out in time. You have 60 minutes to get out using only your brains and team work.
When can I play?
You can book games from 9:30am until 10pm everyday however please give us a ring if you plan on coming at short notice.
How much does it cost?
The game costs between £50 – £90, depending on how many people are playing and the day of the week. Our prices are cheaper during the week, and slightly more on Friday’s and Saturday’s. You can view our exact prices per person on our booking page.
When do we pay?
We take full payment up front for most bookings. For Corporate/Team Building events we are happy to sort out payment via invoice if preferred.
How many people can play?
All our games have the option of being played with just 2 people. Our game ‘Save the City’ has a maximum of 8 people, and all of the other games have a maximum of 6. If your group is larger than this, you will need to book multiple games!
How hard are the games?
Not every team manages to EXIT in time, it’s designed to challenge you! Don’t worry about being stuck at the beginning for an entire hour though – if necessary, extra clues and hints can be given in times of desperation!
What’s the age limit?
Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult.
Our games work great when played as a family, so we don’t set a minimum age limit, but please make sure to read the game description before booking to check it will be suitable for yourselves. We’ve had players of all ages – from 6 weeks old, to 76 years old!
Our horror game, The Attic, is particularly not recommended for children – given its disturbing content. Please get in touch if you would like to talk with one of our game masters.
What should I wear?
Anything, as long as it’s something! From Tuxedos to Pyjamas, it’s up to you. The exception to this is high heels – which we strongly advise against.
I’m claustrophobic / scared, what should I do?
You are monitored by a game master for the duration of the game. There is also an emergency EXIT procedure, so you are in control of getting out in case of an emergency at any point. If you are particularly worried please contact us for more info.
I’m pregnant, can I still play?
Yes, our games are suitable for pregnant women; however, if you are heavily pregnant, we would suggest booking our ‘Save the City’ game as it has seating throughout. We also recommend that, if you are heavily pregnant, to contact us before booking The Attic.
How do I get there / can I park?
We now have 2 addresses, so this depends on which location you’re booked in for.
We are easy to get to on foot or via public transport. The Westgate Road location is only a 2 minute walk from the train station and a 5 minute walk from Grey’s Monument.
If you’re travelling by car, there is pay and display parking throughout Newcastle, however this can be extremely busy on the weekends. Near to us, the Indigo Hotel has it’s own pay and display car park open to all which is located on Fenkle Street, just behind the O2 academy. The Grainger Town car park is also not too far away.
Our location on St. Mary’s Place is about a 10 minute walk from Grey’s Monument. If you’re arriving by public transport then the Haymarket metro station is only a 3 minute walk away.
If you’re driving in to us then the best place to get parked up is the Pay and Display car park on college street. Which can be found here, and there is on the street parking throughout Newcastle.
Are the games wheelchair accessible?
Unfortunately, as we are located in an old building with no lifts or ramps, there is no wheelchair access. Our games however are suitable for many other disabilities, please get in touch for further information.
I want to book multiple games, can they all be at the same time?
If you’re booking multiple games, we can sometimes accommodate them to be at the same time if it’s during the week. On the weekend, we cannot provide games to run at the exact same time – this is to do with the way we layout our games in order for them to be ran most efficiently, and reset on time. Please get in touch if you’d like to make a multiple game booking, during the week, running at the same time.
Will there be anyone else in the game with us?
No! When you book the game, you book the room, there will only be you and your team in the game.
What’s your cancellation policy?
If you can’t make your game, we’re happy to rearrange all bookings for another time.
